Get To Know Biddy

Early in my career as a psychologist, despite all my training, knowledge, and tools, I experienced burnout multiple times. The exhaustion and overwhelm I felt firsthand sparked a deeply personal journey into yoga, meditation, and further mind-body practices. I accessed these practices to support myself, to restore energy, clarity, and calm - and in doing so, I realised I could guide others to do the same.

The revelation that sparked the birth of Biddy

As I began integrating these practices into my own life and work, a pattern emerged - the women seeking my support weren't who you might expect. They were high-achievers, ambitious, driven - women who looked like they had it all together on the outside. But behind closed doors? They were deeply exhausted, relentlessly overwhelmed, carrying the impossible weight of being everything to everyone while their own needs quietly disappeared. They were doing it all and still felt like it wasn't enough. The pressure was everywhere. The guilt was constant. And rest? That was something they'd get to eventually - once they'd proven themselves, once the list was done, once they'd earned it.

I saw myself in every single one of them. And it became painfully clear: ambitious women don't need another self-help book or generic advice about work-life balance. They were seeking tools that actually work in the middle of their real, messy, demanding life. These brilliant, driven women craved connection with others who were also walking their path, accountability that didn't feel like more pressure, and practical strategies to finally calm their nervous systems and remember who they were beneath the endless to-do lists and expectations. They wanted to do it in ways that actually aligned with their values - not someone else's version of what their life should look like.

My Coaching Approach

Biddy utilises a holistic approach rooted in nervous system science and psychology-backed practices. This isn't about choosing between ambition and wellbeing. It's about building a life where both are in alignment - through nervous system regulation, values-aligned action, and integration over addition.

  • Grounded in nervous system science, Biddy guides women to understand their unique stress responses and how these show up in their bodies, thoughts, and behaviours. Through cultivating embodied awareness, clients learn to work with their nervous system rather than against it, building safety, regulation, and resilience as the foundation for sustainable, thriving wellbeing.

  • Biddy draws on proven psychological principles and evidence-informed practices to ensure every insight and tool is both practical and credible. Rather than relying on surface-level motivation, Biddy’s work supports real behavioural and nervous system change, helping women build understanding, capacity, and skills that lead to lasting, sustainable transformation.

  • This approach recognises that sustainable success and self-care are not opposing forces. Women are supported to pursue meaningful ambition while staying connected to their wellbeing, values, and capacity - learning to grow, lead, and perform without burnout, self-abandonment, or chronic overextension.

  • Rather than adding more strategies, tools, or habits to an already full life, the focus is on integration. Women are supported to align their actions, goals, and sense of identity with their personal values, creating clarity and internal coherence. Practices and tools are woven seamlessly into everyday life, allowing work and life to feel sustainable, intentional, and deeply supportive over the long term.

MY MISSION

To equip high-achieving women with strategies that turn overwhelm into clarity, helping them thrive in every area of life. Because you deserve both the life you’ve built and the inner peace you’ve been seeking.

When I'm not working, you'll find me at the beach, cooking for my family, travelling, or deep in conversation over coffee. I'm passionate about holistic wellbeing and committed to living it, imperfectly and intentionally.

My life outside of work is built around what keeps me grounded - ocean swims, movement, real connections, and being present with my partner and our two young children.

In 2022, we left New Zealand for the Gold Coast with a clear vision: to create a life that reflects our values. We wanted to live near the beach, surrounded by nature and community, and to move through our days with intention instead of getting swept up in hustle culture.

I've spent years in the depths of supporting women's mental health and wellbeing - not just as a practitioner, but as a founder of multiple psychology practices, a clinical leader guiding teams, a facilitator of transformative therapeutic groups and retreats, and a trusted trainer and supervisor to fellow clinicians. I've shaped programs and policy across sectors while continually deepening my expertise in mind-body practices.

This work isn't something I clock in and out of - it's woven into the fabric of who I am through years of practice, evolution, and walking the path myself.
